Just Conversation: Collaboration for Change

  • Metropolitan New York Baptist Association 236 West 72nd Street New York, NY, 10023 United States (map)

We recognize that the church is called to do justice, love mercy, and walk with God. However, sometimes we forget that we cannot do this on our own. For us to see our communities transformed, we must collaborate with others who are actively caring for those most vulnerable. But the question remains: "What does healthy collaboration look like?"

To help churches answer this question, the MNYBA is hosting "Collaboration for Change: A Just Conversation" on Thursday, September 29, from 12-2 at the MNYBA.

We will be joined by a panel of experts with a time of "Q+A" to follow. The panel will feature:

Tariq Javed, the founder of the International Community Care Foundation

A representative from the NYPD Vice Squad working with sex trafficking cases

A representative of Sanctuary for Families. Sanctuary works with the NYC Human Trafficking courts to provide legal help and care for those victimized.

Church leaders, pastors, or church leadership delegates are welcome to attend. As always, the event is free and your lunch will be provided.
